SUMMARY:
This review of literature deals with the different forms of halitosis. Halitosis can be subdivided according to the location it originated from. Halitosis of an oral origin is well understood, however through this article, attention is paid to other originating locations such as from the upper respiratory tract including the nose, from the lower respiratory tract, and blood-borne halitosis. Blood-borne halitosis is caused by certain diseases, medications, and even certain foods.
