SUMMARY:
This article outlines the efficacy and mechanisms of different bad breath resolving approaches including those that are mechanical and chemical in nature. It was found through this study that the most successful treatment of bad breath involves mechanical debridement which includes toothbrushing, flossing, and tongue cleaning combined with the use of an antimicrobial mouthrinse.
